The existing 30-year-old house was once dark and enclosed, with limited living and dining areas.
Responding to the client’s desire for both openness and privacy — as the front faced a neighbouring property — we introduced a new minimalist façade with mechanically operable louvres, allowing the family to control privacy and light throughout the day.

The front portion of the house was reconstructed, incorporating a steel structure to accommodate additional bedrooms and a mezzanine level. At the heart of the design, a central air and light well transforms the interior experience — as daylight shifts, walls and passages reveal ever-changing layers of light, shadow, and texture.
